Choosing a Mattress

Finding the right mattress can be a puzzling experience

Most people are looking for comfort and support but are unsure about other important factors that deserve consideration. European Sleep Works has devoted over 20 years to researching better sleep. Based on that knowledge we have created a healthful, comfortable mattress system that lets you sleep better.

How a mattress feels and performs is a function of its design and materials. We take a comprehensive approach to building a high quality, healthy, and comfortable mattress. From stability and durability to motion transfer and humidity, we look at all the pieces of the puzzle that affect sleep quality.

Asking the right questions

What does it mean to have a healthy, comfortable sleep environment? At European Sleep Works, we try to ask the right questions so that we can develop products that offer real solutions.

How can we build a bed that sleeps cooler and better regulates temperature?

We know people sleep better when they don't wake up hot and sweaty. Using natural, breathable fibers like organic cotton and wool in our cover means our mattress is able to transport moisture keeping your mattress drier and you more comfortable.

Can a mattress design improve nighttime breathing?

The positions you sleep in—your body posture during sleep—can impact the ease or difficulty with which you breath. Our mattress system and Oxygen Pillow are designed to promote body postures that maximize oxygen flow. The deeper you breath, the better you sleep.

Because we know chemicals and allergens can adversely affect breathing, we use natural, breathable materials like 100% natural latex foam, organic cotton, and merino wool. All of our materials are eco-certified free of toxic chemicals and off-gassing.

Is it possible to build a stable mattress free from motion transfer?

There is no question that your sleep is disturbed if the motion of your sleep partner bounces you awake. We've addressed the problem of motion transfer by building a uniquely elastic mattress that conforms to body shape and absorbs motion.
